Metro Exodus is a first-person shooter based on the novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The third part of the games of the same name, where the action takes place in the universe of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light.

The players will have to play as a protagonist named Artyom, who was among the survivors of nuclear war. As part of a group of rangers of the Order of Sparta, he is looking for a place suitable for life in post-apocalyptic Russia. Players will also meet other characters familiar from previous installments of the game: Anna and her father, Colonel Melnikov.

After a war that broke out more than 20 years ago in 2013, a nuclear winter has set in, and now the heroes on a modified Aurora steam train from the Moscow subway are about to go far east. Metro Exodus has beautiful graphics, a fascinating story based on the novel, an oppressive and frightening atmosphere, non-linear levels and intense battles with enemies.

The game has a large open world with enough freedom of action and full-fledged side missions. At the same time the main plot does not "sag", develops quite dynamically, there are a lot of memorable moments and interesting dialogues. All the characters are well developed, each has its own character and individual characteristics.

Metro Exodus is not limited to fighting and shooting mutants. Exploring the open world and completing side quests, you will not only find important resources for the gameplay, but also curious notes, revealing the plot, useful instruments and improvements for your costume. You may come across some hidden quest that affects the fate of familiar characters, or equipment that will be useful in completing other quests. For example, binoculars will be very useful in preparation for complex missions, and the night vision device will be indispensable in low light conditions.

Crafting is another important gameplay component. There are almost no first-aid kits in the game, very little ammo for weapons, so you have to make do with improvised means. All resources can be divided into two large groups: chemicals and spare parts. The former are used to make medicines, and the latter are used to create ammunition. The simplest crossbow bolts can be found "in the field", but to create something more complex you will need raw materials and a workbench.
