Description

You can often find such definitions of the Fortnite genre as a sandbox and survival simulator. But the game has become a true cultural phenomenon, primarily because of its "battle royale" mode. It has other activity options as well. These include additional modes to the Battle Royale - Royal Party and Creative Mode.

The King's Party is a special zone in the game where there are no battles or builds. Here you can relax, chat with other players and play peaceful mini-games. In Creative mode, the player can create their own maps for activities and open them for matches. There is a paid PvE-mode - "Battle of the Storm". Additionally, Epic Games regularly introduces temporary challenges. Passing them, you can get the same experience as in the main activities.

More about Fortnite

Fortnite is very similar to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in some game mechanics. The general principles of "battle royale" are the same:

  • The player enters the combat zone from the air.
  • On the map you can look for equipment, resources, or just hide.
  • The active zone gradually decreases in size.
  • There is only one winner - the one who stays alive last.

PUBG looks more realistic, and Fortnite more vivid and cartoonish. In addition, the latter has its own specific mechanics:

  • object construction and trap setting;
  • low requirements at the start to the skill of the player - it is easier to get into the game;
  • gameplay is more focused on fun and creating absurd situations;
  • maps are full of defensive structures;
  • the "battle royale" mode and its add-ons, completely free.

Fortnite lacks training at the start, but the interface is very simple and not overwhelming. There are 100 characters landed on the map at a time, and they can be either single or grouped together. Players choose activities according to their preference and character class.

There are a total of 4 classes in Fortnite:

  • Soldier. Specializes in dealing damage to other characters.
  • Constructor. Aimed at construction work.
  • Ninja. Similar to the Soldier, but places a value on speed, not damage.
  • Traveller. Quicker than others to find geocaches and hidden objects.

The choice of class is not final. You can always try another one in a new match. The player decides how many and which characters to pump.

In addition to the "Battle of the Storm" paid in Fortnite are skins (appearances) for the characters. Additionally, there are dances and emotions, some of which are important for the gameplay. Some of these are obtained for free, but others are sold for real money.

Fortnite will appeal to players with low requirements for realistic graphics. As well as those who are in the mood for a relaxed game. The gameplay is more about getting pleasure from the process than about achieving the result. Fortnite is free to play, so anyone can try to make up their mind.
