Announcement: Mass Effect 3 is a sequel to the Mass Effect series. What has changed compared to the previous parts, is the game better or worse, and who will be interested in it?
Mass Effect 3 is an Action/RPG third-person action game for Windows (and a number of other platforms). The game was created by BioWare and published in 2012.
The game is a sequel to the previous Mass Effect 2 game and even allows you to transfer your saves from the second part. The game is set in the "space opera" genre - the events take place in the far future, when humanity has mastered interstellar flights and met the representatives of other civilizations. Among them is a dangerous and mysterious race of Reapers, who seek to destroy all life in the universe. The protagonist of the game, Captain Shepard, along with his companions must stop the Reapers.
The gameplay is a mix of RPG and shooter. The player customizes his character before starting the game, choosing his gender, appearance, class (one of six) and starting skills. As he progresses through the game, he gains experience points which he spends to improve his character's abilities. Mass Effect 2 has many different types of weapons that the player can upgrade. The peculiarity of the game is the possibility to choose one of three passing modes - action, narrative or role-playing mode. In the first one, the game focuses on the combat part, and the dialogues take place automatically; in the second one, the dialogues take place, and the battles take place on the easiest level. The role-playing mode covers both sides of the game.
The combat system is mostly a third-person shooter (with melee options) in real-time. There is the ability to use tactical pause to give commands to companions, aim, change weapons, and use special skills.
Outside of combat, Shepard is on the Normandy spaceship. Here the player can choose the next planet on the galaxy map where the ship will move to, choose a main or side quest.
Unlike previous Mass Effect parts, the third part has a multiplayer mode - survival, in which up to four players can participate.
The minimal system requirements are 1.8 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, 256 MB video card, 15 GB of free disk space and Internet connection. The recommended requirements are a 2.4 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a video card with 512 MB of memory.
In general, the game will definitely appeal to fans of the Mass Effect universe, but it will also be interesting to other fans of games of similar genre. Download Mass Effect 3 online, for example on ODVme.com. and enjoy the space adventures.
