The Google Drive cloud service from Google, launched back in 2010, has managed to become one of the most famous cloud storage services with amazing functionality. Its main advantage over competitors is the size of the cloud: The Google user is immediately provided with 15 GB of free space. Additional space is purchased separately and paid for monthly, but at fairly low rates: plans of 100 GB, 200 GB and 2 TB are available. The company also offers an annual fee that allows you to pay for 12 months of storage usage at once and save as much as 17% on that.
The first and most significant feature of the program (besides the basic storage functions) is its integration into the Google ecosystem. In addition to basic synchronization with the rest of the company's apps, Disk gives the ability to synchronize all files on connected devices, whether they are cell phones or computers and laptops. Also, there is a separate function for computers and laptops, introduced in 2017: it allows you to back up your device by uploading the finished image directly to the cloud.
The second feature, especially important for the Windows operating system, is integration into a second ecosystem, Microsoft Office. Now the office suite from Microsoft allows you to upload files directly to the cloud storage: there you can work with them, leaving comments and notes. This feature is useful for collaborative work with documents and does not require the conversion of files into formats of Google services: texts with comments still remain in their original formats and are available for downloading in them. In the same way, files from the cloud storage can be edited directly in the cloud using Microsoft Office editors. This eliminated the problem of constant "distillation" of documents for those people who use Google Docs services along with Microsoft programs.
The third, already partially affected feature of Google Drive is the convenience of working with files for corporate employees. Thus, a separate version of the "Drive" is available for corporate clients, which is called "Google Drive for Work". It allows for $10 a month to use absolutely unlimited storage space for the needs of employees, and also has numerous security guarantees and full encryption of incoming data. It's important to note that the maximum size for an uploaded file is 5 TB: the almost unlimited limit has definitely put the service from Google on the list of leaders among cloud storage creators.
