More about Lightshot

Also noteworthy is the editor function - its features are quite simple, but available immediately after the picture has been taken. This makes it easier and faster to work with several screenshots at once, if you are busy with some image work. The editor has everything the average user needs and even beyond (like the ability to insert text).

You can also share an image with anyone you want without the "save-copy-send-to-messenger" steps - just copy the link and send it to a friend. When you click on it, in a separate tab on any browser, you'll have a screenshot, the same size, quality, and edits you made in the editor. This can make it easier to work on a project together or speed up the creative process.

Advantages of the program:

  1. Lightshot is completely free - you don't have to pay anything to use its full functionality. All you have to do is download the installation file and install the program on your PC. Also, if your main platform for working with screenshots is a browser, you can add the appropriate extension.
  2. Autoloading to the network. You do not need to do anything for a screenshot taken with Lightshot to be uploaded to the network - it happens automatically. The only prerequisite is network availability.
  3. Easy and accessible editor. The Lightshot editor has a few simple functions and is unlikely to be able to compete with programs that are specifically designed for this purpose, but for the simplest tasks (resizing, adding text and new graphic elements) will do.
  4. Speed of operation. You won't have to copy the screenshot from the clipboard to a separate editor, nor will you have to search for an image in a Windows user folder if you happen to start copying something else.
  5. Great co-browsing capabilities. Lightshot has its own domain through which you can view everything you've done with the program before (assuming you've saved those screenshots). This is handy for organizing collaboration. You can also just share a particular screenshot with a link.

Lightshot can be used for a variety of purposes, but it's best for quick sharing while you're working, studying, and creative. Taking a screenshot, highlighting the most important things on it with the editor and sending it to the desired person is a matter of a couple of minutes, which brings online work closer to the usual speed.

The program will also help you work independently on anything - you can create a "transcript" of your actions or compose instructions for your subordinates.

You may find Lightshot useful if you:

  • work on the Internet - it's easier to illustrate your point with quick editable screenshots;
  • like to save screenshots for further sorting of information;
  • you do not want to use third-party software to edit screenshots;
  • you work in the usual mode, but need quick communication with colleagues and project partners.

It's easy to get started and you won't want to go back to your usual Windows tools.
