To overlay text on the video during screen recording you should press the button shown on the next screenshot. In the settings that open, find the "Text" tab. Then check the "Add overlay text to video" box. In the window that opens, customize the text. The following options are supported: the choice of font, the location in the center, to the left or right; add a stroke and shadows, and adjust the resizing and indentation. The arbitrary area is the area that is set with a special frame by the user. The first thing to do is to switch to the so-called "desired mode".
