Memrise on Android

Memrise offers the following features:

• training by viewing "word-translation" cards;
• listening to foreign words spoken by a native speaker of the target language;
• associative perception based on illustration pictures (ready-made illustrations can be replaced by your own);
• grouping vocabulary into folders you have created yourself;
• quizzes, progress tracking;
• comparing foreign words and pictures without Russian translation (helps to remember meanings of words, not their exact translation);
• spelling practice;
• choosing the right translation from several variants - in order to consolidate knowledge and distinguish between the vocabulary you learned in one day;
• getting bonus points as a reward for progress.

Before training, it is proposed to choose the level of difficulty and configure the application for yourself: set a goal and the period to achieve it, calculate the minimum lesson time for each day, specify the number of cards worked out daily.

For convenience, it's better to choose ready-made courses: these are lesson plans and their contents, created by the developers of the application, by the user or by other Memrise students. You can open your own sets and courses for everyone, too. You can even add your own cards, but it's not convenient - it's easier to use ready-made ones.

The Memrise application is convenient for practicing foreign vocabulary, but not suitable for full-fledged language learning: there are even no exercises on grammar. But as an assistant in combination with other resources Memrise works effectively, especially if you use it regularly.
